INTEGRATED INTO THE CUTTING DIE

Originally developed for pharmaceutical packaging, Braille tools are now also used for packaging and labels in the food and other industries.

Megaden Bulgaria manufactures precision engraved female embossing plates from wear-resistant plastic together with matching male embossing plates produced from metal strip using a dedicated automated process.

The tools are designed in accordance with applicable ECMA requirements and can also be manufactured according to specific customer requirements.

Whenever possible, the female and male embossing plates can be integrated directly into the cutting die, allowing die cutting, creasing and Braille embossing to be performed in a single operation.

When the cutting die was originally produced without Braille, when the Braille position has to be changed on an existing die, or when the package design does not allow direct integration, the Braille tools can be manufactured on a separate board and used in an additional machine pass.

With the appropriate configuration, the female embossing plate can remain unchanged while only the corresponding male embossing plate is replaced when the Braille text changes.
